About This Place
The Ruins is one of the most iconic landmarks in the Philippines. Often called the “Taj Mahal of the Philippines,” it is the skeletal remains of a 1920s Italianate mansion built by sugar baron Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson in memory of his wife, Maria Braga.
