The Ruins – “Taj Mahal of the Philippines”

The Ruins is one of the most iconic landmarks in the Philippines. Often called the “Taj Mahal of the Philippines,” it is the skeletal remains of a 1920s Italianate mansion built by sugar baron Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson in memory of his wife, Maria Braga.

Operating Hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM daily

Entrance Fees (2025–2026):

Adults: ₱100 – ₱150
Seniors/PWDs: ₱70 – ₱100
Students/Children: ₱50 – ₱70

How to Get There:

From Bacolod City: Grab/taxi (~₱150–₱250) or shuttle/tricycle from terminal near Pepsi Plant or along Bata-Libertad jeepney route

From Silay Airport: 15–20 minute drive south toward Bacolod
